When Data Bull was first introduced in 2002, we could provide our clients with unlimited downloads and market information for a minimum initial cost. Eight years later much is changed. The retrieval of information from free online financial sites is much more complicated combined with less reliability. Also DataBull has evolved from a simple downloader to a multi-facetted software with many functionalities, which makes it to the most advanced quotes downloader and data feed in the market.
Our staff works continuously to better the quality of data, add functionality in Databull and provide our clients with the support and service they deserve. In order to be able to provide our clients with these services, a minimum fee for the service is being introduced.
What is affected?
This transition has no affect on licenses purchased after September 2009.
Software licenses purchased prior to September 2009: Your software is going to continue to work. However, it will retrieve the information and quotes from Yahoo Finance. There will be no access to our servers. The symbols, data and all information is directly downloaded from the above mentioned site. This means that all questions regarding the accuracy of data, changes of symbols, etc. should be directed to Yahoo Finance and not DITEC or Data Bull.
Schedule for Change of Service
Service: Access to our quotes and symbols database. (Access to free quotes from Yahoo Finance will be available. Current and historical quotes for Stockholm, Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Australia will come from the Yahoo server.)
Searching on the markets above will be done on the Yahoo server, which may be unreliable.
Historical quotes for currencies will not be available (Quotes4u)
Easy Configuration will not work on new installations
Service: Support for Quotes and data retrieved from free financial sites such as Yahoo Finance. We will continue to support software related inquiries.
